Streaks is one part of an  ongoing series that I have decided to call Fire Studies. They are pictures of fire that have been done with camera motion blur in black and white. There is no digital manipulation of this series, other than dust spotting, as fire gives off ash which has a tendency to land on my camera lens.

 

To me this series represents the beauty that fire can create. Though usually thought of as destructive, fire can often bring light and beauty to those that watch it. These are some of the most warming pictures that I have taken and give a softness to something that can be so horrid.
